Habit :- Small throny shrubby tree, 5-10 feet high, leaf with winged petiole and white flowers 3 to 10 in axil of leaf.

Chemical Constituents :- Ascorbic acid, Fructose, Glucose, Sucrose, Pectin, Jasmonic acid, Eriodictyol, Rutinosides, Flower bud contains: Amino acids; Leaves: Bergaptin, Citropten Eriocitrin, Limettin, Deoxyribonucleic acid and starch; Leaf oil contains: Citronellal, Citronellol Geranial, Limonene. Lnalool, Myrecene, Ocimene.
Liver troubles, scorbutic, in vomiting, Burning sensation, Cough, Throat disorder, Colic, Tuberculosis, Arthritis, Anthelmintic; Juice of fruit is used as Refrigerant drink and allaying thirst, useful in Diarrhoea and Fever.
